Student Advocacy Counsellor

The Student Advocacy Counselor in each school site promotes student success, provides preventive services, and responds to identified student needs by providing individual and group counseling to students, linking students and families with appropriate community agencies, and by referring “at-risk” students and families to appropriate community agencies.  Our Student Advocacy Counselors coordinate, research, and/or develop preventative and intervention programs to enhance and support the school and district’s needs.  The SAC works in partnership with community agencies, school staff, students, and families.
