North Star Elementary School is home to 260 Kindergarten to Grade 3 students. Drop by for a visit and you will see why we are one of the best schools in the City of Cold Lake.  We specialize in Early Childhood Education – offering classes from Kindergarten to Grade 3 in both English and French Immersion. There is a Preschool on site as well as Out of School Care for working families.

Our class sizes are small and Educational Assistants provide support to individual students. We focus on literacy and math – the foundation of learning. Staff is trained to work with little ones – they understand their needs and provide a supportive and nurturing environment.

Moral Education is an important part of our school. We model and practice the virtues of Empathy, Kindness, Conscience, Self-Control, Respect and Perseverance.

Our students grow to be kind, respectful and responsible citizens.

Art and Music are also specialties. Children love to draw and sing and dance and we provide all kinds of opportunities for them to develop these skills and talents.

And we play a lot here, too! We have one of the best playgrounds in the city – two creative play structures, many trees and lots of open space.
