COVID-19 Notification

May 6, 2021:

Alberta Health Services (AHS) has advised us that North Star Elementary School has been moved to outbreak status. An outbreak is reported when 5 or more cases are confirmed in an investigation, where the disease could have been acquired or transmitted in the school. We continue to work closely with AHS to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff.

AHS has assigned a site reference number for any students or staff of North Star Elementary School to use when they book an appointment to be tested for COVID-19. The site reference number for North Star is 2021-5429. This does not expedite testing or reporting results, but it does assist AHS with tracking results related to this investigation.

May 5, 2021:

Our custodians will be conducting enhanced cleaning protocols of the school, focusing on areas where the individual was present, along with our continued attention on high touch areas and surfaces throughout the school.

We remind parents/guardians of students, as well as staff, to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19.
